Public Health Research Assessment and Evaluation

We have provided technical assistance to the Primary and Secondary Healthcare Department on various reforms and initiatives. The following data collection projects were conducted by SPHERE.

  • KAP Study: Our team conducted a study to assess the behavior of young individuals toward youth-friendly environments. The survey was aimed to access information on SRH and education for the Rahnuma FPAP Youth Resource Center Program. The data for this study were collected from four districts: Lahore, Faisalabad, Chakwal, and Muzaffargarh.
  • A baseline survey was conducted for the “Diarrhea and Child Health Program” by Save the Children in two districts: Khanewal and Hafizabad. The survey was carried out in partnership with Avicenna Pvt Ltd.
  • Our consultant assisted The Population Council in analysis and report writing to map population data to be used by government departments. The Population Council conducted this study to provide needs assessment data for developing UNFPA's 8th Country Plan for Pakistan.
  • LQAS (Lot Quality Assessment Survey) study conducted for Pathfinder International, Pakistan to assess the performance of Sojhla and Sojhro projects in Districts Layyah (Punjab) and Shaheed Benazirabad (Sindh) from October 2012 to February 2013.
  • Secondary analysis of PDHS data on Pakistan’s neonatal mortality in the context of equity, published in BMC Journal “Archives of Public Health."
  • Punjab component of the National Program for Prevention and Control of Blindness.
  • Research: Perceptions of Skilled Birth Attendants (SBAs) regarding causes of low retention and absenteeism among SBAs in the evening and night shifts at Basic Health Units (BHU) in seven districts of Punjab, Pakistan.
