About Us

Our Principles

At SPHERE, we are guided by five key principles that drive our efforts towards better healthcare outcomes

At SPHERE, we strive to comprehend on-the-ground realities, uncover trends and obstacles, and solve the often-complex issues surrounding healthcare service delivery. Our approach involves leveraging both quantitative and qualitative data. Our ultimate goal is to create a lasting impact through evidencebased decision-making. Balancing government policies with individual health-seeking behaviors is crucial in delivering quality public healthcare. Better decisions can encourage more effective health-seeking behaviours, enhance the accessibility, affordability, and availability of healthcare.

To ensure a sustainable impact, we keep people at the forefront of our work. Every insight, analysis, and finding is directed towards improving and promoting individual health. We are committed to centering people in all our efforts, empowering communities and enabling them to take charge of their health.

Health is a fundamental asset for individuals, communities, and society. Ensuring community health requires continuous engagement and leadership from the community, as well as partnerships with other stakeholders. As a result, we believe that success is attributed to the synergistic blending of community capacity with the capacity of public health agencies. Education and public health are interlinked, as education can improve public health outcomes. Education can increase awareness of health risks, improve access to healthcare, improve living conditions, and influence public policy related to health. Investing in education can create healthier communities and improve overall quality of life.

Climate change poses a threat to global public health in the 21st century and is highly unequal, with the poorest populations facing the greatest risks. At SPHERE, we understand that environmental risks can negatively impact human health directly (e.g. heat waves, droughts, heavy storms, rising sea levels) or indirectly (e.g. vector-borne and airborne diseases, food insecurity, undernutrition, and forced displacement). We stay informed of these correlations through ongoing research and by incorporating them into our intervention planning.

Our work extends beyond healthcare services. At SPHERE, we aim to improve society and communities through community development and humanitarian efforts. Our organization is dedicated to providing relief and medical aid to those affected by natural and man-made disasters, reducing suffering among vulnerable groups and focusing on their rehabilitation.
